what is the battery pill ratio. What batteries do you use and how many. What about the people who run upwards of 32 pills do that is alot of batteries. And where do you get cable capable of taking all of those amps???

those guys use numerous alternators and not a ton of batteries, there's no substitute for amps applied for consumption, batteries are just a flash in the pan, and as far as cable goes you just use welding cable.

i have 8 batteries but i would be fine with 2 or 4... i have the alternators to back it up

i use 2/0 welding cable for connections, solid 3/8" bus bar between the batts and 4/0 ground cables from the bank to the frame...

i use the frame as the neg. bus

mack is %100 right

i got to get me some more tires and a can of gas and while im out better throw some porkchops on the grill

5 alternators

4 just for the main amp and the bank of batteries 10 batteries
1 alt upgraded and volted 15volts for stock system
yes welding lead
like linearone said buss bar to tie the batt s together
2/0 and 4/0 welding lead
and flat braid strap
how much flat braid?
well i ordered 150 foot and its all gone

Well , one things for sure , if one can afford all these out landish goodies IM only guessing they can also afford to burn that 4.00 per gallon gasoline. Was just talking to a 6er out my way a week or so ago , He runs about two K in his truck , he said he just can't afford to use his stuff like he once did with the rising gas prices. Even a little guy like me can understand that , GEO Metro with a 65 amp alt running my 450 XL , I get 28 city 35 to 40 Highway , when I play cb radio I get less then 20 miles per gallon ! and if I play harder , IM lucky to get 15 per gallon , so I can only emagine what these big boy mobiles burn  Shit ! I bet they can be worse then a damned motor home running those monster boxes ! must be nice to be able to afford that kind of play ? Hell !! even without extra alt's batterys and motor mauls , those damned suburbans are shit for gas milage to begin with. DAMN !!

Thats why when i was in the market for a new car/truck i went with a 2004 VW passat. Hey i can put my 2 pill it in and it will get 30 mpg all day. As opposed to the 97' Suburban which i would have rather got been when you look at expenses the vw is a way better deal.

my #2 truck is my every day driver and contains.....some transistors. it gets roughly 12 mpg at 70mph, which is about 6 gallons of premium fuel. when at my favorite DXing spot, i can use about 16 gallons of fuel during 2 hours of hard key downs. my #1 truck? an hour of high revs from the big block can consume 12 gallons of octane boosted premium. fortunately, life only allows 1 day a week of using 'my favorite dxing spot'.

How the heck can your fuel mileage drop that low? That 50 amp alternator can't be loading that engine up that much.
Are you sitting with the engine idling for several hours at a time?

if what he is saying is true, the fuel companies have found exactly
the type of car we will all drive in the future..
