I am looking for a new radio to add to my export collection

did anyone ever import a handheld radio into the US with FM capability, except for the cherokee AH-100, Eagle Spitfire, Titan RPSY, and similar looking 10m SSB radios?
Just an FM or AM/FM without SSB?

I understand that most of europe, CEPT???uses the same bandplan as the USA but with FM, do their rigs also have AM capability like ours. I searched ebay but cant find anything, any ideas for a good handheld to search for?

I know that the UK also has 40 FM channels plus our AM channels, are any of these modifiable for FM over 26.965-27.405?

Like the IMD262 said the UK has two CB-Bands the "normal" US/CEPT channels and the own 40 channels (27.60125 - 27.99125 MHz). Am is not legal in the UK.

In most European country's we can legally use AM/FM and SSB on the "normal" channels
There are just a few handheld models available.

Al are "multi-Norm" CB's witch means they can be setup for different country's by holding some buttons. The Albrecht Only has the Normal 40 channels and the German 80 channels.
Yes this is legal in most country's

On the German ebay.de you can find older AM/FM handhelds

actually found a few FCC cert handhelds that might have FM capability once modified. Cobra 45wx and Midland 75-830. Only one I know was tested by a reputable source and the other one I will have here in a few days to test out.

I suspect there is more out there, just have to figure out what radios are the USA version of EU/CEPT radios and compare the schematics.
