Hook Up a Stereo Connector To A Old Mic Cable

I have a old CA-73 Cobra Mic would it be possible to hookup a stereo conntector to the end of the cable where the mic is connected to end result would look like this 4 PIN Cobra Type Mic to PC Mic jack Adapter Cord. Need a wire diagram for a cobra ca-73 so I can hook up a stereo connector

Trying to understand what exactly you are trying to do here.... If it's broadcasting music, that's illegal. If your wanting to record the radio in audio form, why not just use the ext. speaker jack?

Are you joking just google 4 pin cobra mic wireing........

That small plug is a 3.5mm mic jack not a pc jack it was around long before computers had them in or on them.

You know you will need a soldering iron the connectors do not come with leads you have to supply them.

How do you plan on activating the TX are you going to wire in a foot pedal and key the relay that way?

You wouldn't need a stereo plug just mono. The two wires coming off the element hook to the 1/8 jack. I.E. white to center the other to ground. Why not just buy a cheap computer mic?
Are you actually wanting the ptt hooked up or just the audio? Just curios.

he does not need the ptt portion of that mic, just wire the pickup head like you described and he'll just need to figure out the input wiring on the appliance and just use that when wiring his mic jack.

I was curious as where he was using it, a computer or an HT. I,m guessing if he wanted to use it on an HT he would want the ptt and that would be easy on a 1/8 stereo jack. Again, just curious.
