Hi , i would like to say a big thank you to those out there that helped me in a previous post where i asked about the hieght of a homebase antenna. to let you know i got the antenna as high as i possibly can for my location the bottom of the antenna where the coax connects is about 25 feet off the ground and mounted to a steel pole.WOW what a difference, i can now chat to other cb-ers that are many miles from me, once again thanks to all those that offered help. this is a great site for beginners like myself, please keep up the good work

many thanks.........CHRIS......( in the sunny U.K ......lol )

Good to "hear"... pun intended. Yep height is might when it comes to a base antenna, be surprised how good you can get out with a good antenna, and some height, with just 4 watts. Next thing you will be looking into an amp, and man thats some fun when skip is rolling, and you need to be heard. Good luck and most importantly have fun, don't take anything on the radio too seriously.

Hope you catch some good skip...

yes this is a great forum..
especially for newbies..
many here are eager to give advice and or help..
