Here I hought I hade every Turner microphone!! Apparently not!!

Look at the picture that is a TELEX brand mike sold in 76-78 era never was that popular.

72+1 RCB

The Turner Company was sold to Conrac Corporation in 1967, which sold it in turn to Telex Corporation in August, 1979. A scant three months later all production at the main plant, 716 Oakland Rd., in Cedar Rapids was discontinued and relocated to Telex facilities in Minnesota and Oklahoma.

IMHO the seller is trying to capitalize of the turner name. In fact Telex made Turner in the later years not the other way around. It is still a Telex and NOT a Turner

telex double header, we had them in the late 70's early 80's, they came in that bluish grey color and transparent,
my local cb/ham shop had one hung in the shop for years.

It looks pretty cool, but I never knew anyone that ran one. Most guys in my area ran Turner +3's (along with my Dad), and the JM+2U's, and a few that ran the Astatic Minuteman. I can see that I would easily hook that mic button on everything in sight, and probably break it off! But for 50 bucks, something different that probably sounds pretty good, and a conversation piece, it wouldn't be a bad purchase.

I used to have one on my Courier Redball 23 channel. Sometimes it would SQUEAL like a son of gun! Decent little mic when it worked with my SLIP-SEATING adventures.... DANG , IT WAS COOL looking with that clear case!
