This information was right from the X-Force web site. I think it's safe to say you blew the crap out of that amp. A Stryker is actually alittle too much radio but if you could get the Stryker to dead key 2 watts and swing 30-35 you would get an easy 250-275 watts from the X-80 and sound great. Good luck.

lol yea i kinda figured that one. he told me he would fix it in the morning gave me his cell phone number and of course he will not answer the phone now lol. well do you think there is any salvage to the amp think i blew it all to hell or just fried some part? i realize its all speculation but any advice would be great. and thanks for the info on the amp i read it from the x force site. i was wondering if it was a conservative rating? well now i know lol thanks again!

You might have just smoked the keying transistor, or some resistors. Give them a call and mail it in. CB Radios/ Export Radios/ Amplifiers/cb amps

I would first see what this clown of a tech will do to make it right, or see if he will refund your money. For any new amp purchase buy direct, or check out the sales section here on the forum.

yea. lmao i knew better then to do it but he was a silver tounged devil. talked the talk and his radios he was selling did sound good. i have been trying to get ahold of him but he seems to be avoinding me now.. well i kinda have given up and just chalked it up to learning my lessons. i got taken on the price too. . so i live and learn. i dont get down to joplin much but if i do i will deffinately stop in and say "hi" see if he soils himself when i walk in and politely ask him about the amp. thanks for the info friend. i did buy my stryker here on the forum and was really impressed with the experiance and continue to check the forums every day just to see whats new and what i can learn each day. im trying to learn what i can. i guess sometimes its just the hard way ha ha :headbang

Wow, a three year old thread back from the grave. I did a google search for X-Force amplifier pics and a bunch came up.

i know this is an old post. but i have to say i sometimes fire up my birds (browning mk3)
swinging 10 watts into the x force 80 at 50% into my alpha 86 amp. dead keys (am) 800watts swings to 2200 watts, alpha meter don't lie here. that browning draws lost of attention in a hurry. now looking for a nice small B class driver.
