why in the hell did they ever stop making these mic's !!! 55.00 for a element !!!!! 70 for a complete head !!!!! .....I think I'd rather take my chances on ebay !! I've picked up full amplified models in decent shape for 40.00 shipped. I believe the elements in those are pretty much all the same......could be wrong though. Ive replaced these with elements out of old Johnson radios like the 123A.They work well with good audio. You can find em ebay for cheap every now and then.
Ive never actually seen one last year was the first time i ever heard of them. Why would they stop making them they must be like a base version of the 636L noise cancling hand mic. They still make those so whats the deal???
D-104 & Turner Mic Element Repair
I have found from past experience with Turner and D-104 cartridges ,that sometimes the glue or cone has broken loose in the center of the mic element!
Sometimes all it takes to repair it is a drop of super glue.
I have repaired hundreds of them that way over the years....try it .
