I have 8 new Mitsubishi 1969's left here never used.
You see the 3 leaf sign of Mitsubishi, under it, C1969, under that the batch number i have 23F-CH and 2XL-CH, 43AH-CH to give an idea.
Between the legs of the transistor at the housing you will find small outstanding plastic protrusions, tiangular with the point at the same line as the legs of the transistor.

99.999% chance they are counterfeit.
Never buy finals from eBay again.
Been there; done that. . .
With eBay's strict description policy I guess selling an item that is purchased for a couple of dollars and adding $21 profit to it is worth it for the seller. If the buyer sends it back for a refund the sellers going to make plenty of money on those that don't send them back. Do you know where I can get an original NOS 1969? If anybody has one or two that they'd like to part with I would like to purchase them. Thanks for the info. 73

I'm not 100% sure but, this might be the final that was installed in my Madison. I kind of recall him saying the final came from the UK but, that in itself doesn't mean it was an elecraft. If it was I will leave it in there and have him do the final tune up one sahould do when installing a replacement final. Thanks. 73

They haven't mfd any new 1969's in over two decades. Some radio mfring companies still have some; but they don't sell them.

Only place I'd trust to buy them from is RF Parts:

Dont ever get Transistor from E-bay i make the mistake and i learn my error. Just buy OEM and pay the price don't try to save money because you are going to spend more money then what you had it to spend.

I agree with Robb I only buy transistors from US companies I trust like RF parts. I stocked up on MRF455's for my President Lincoln I have 3 on hand and the radio still has it's stock MRF455. I have good used pulled transistors from my RCI2950 when I upgraded it. I have some similar devices to 2SC1969's and I am going to buy some 1969's from Rf and some MRF454's so I have them if my amplifier should ever need them!! Keeping a few parts on hand that you know will go away at some point never hurts just make sure you buy from a source you trust to check their stock and to only use and sell legitimate parts. Saving a few dollars is nothing if you get fake parts! I have 15 spare GI7Bt tubes etc....Tubes and transistor tend to fade away and retrofiring is not usually easy. Look at carbon composite resistors not big deal for us but for tube guitar amp builders it is.Look at ceramic and crystal mic elements and look at mercury batteries and the devices that used them. Sure there are solutions to all of these problems but often they are not ideal and leave a bad taste in peoples mouths! So if you have any tech you want to keep around a long time always best today to stock up on those parts you can see fading away. A lot of modern devices are coming out of China are designed with the idea that you will through it away when it wears out.
