CB Base Antenna

Slowmover , there is a name I have not heard in years!
Big Hair Antennas.
I wonder if he ever got his 50 foot tall colinear antenna into production?
Or his improved IMax2000 with the 4 inch silver plated coil.
I had a link to his web site here somewhere.....

WWDX has sent me a few places. A discussion elsewhere about dipole and collinear. Then here on latter. Search for a term led to BH.

Some sites (w8ji) have that Old Testament feel. (“In the Beginning . . )

Others, late night TV (“the owners of this station do not endorse . . . “)

Dogs bark, but the caravan rolls on

(Irritating link won’t come up. 1979 Harry James Direct-to-Disc. Ellington’s “Caravan”.

“Engage Warp Factor Four, Mr Sulu”, is getting that #299 HH Scott amps tubes warmed a couple of days before double-clutching those Klipsch Cornwall’s into gear.

Harry was a stable owner. One can watch that incredible embouchure of his, “see” those thoroughbreds at Santa Ana round the far corner, with one slowly, relentlessly gaining over the rest into the final stretch.

Or we can paraphrase Omar Khayyam:

The moving finger [eye], having writ [read], moves on.

I had no idea antennas would be so interesting. This old man is grateful.

Careful Slowmover,
You're beginning to sound like Kopcicle.
Or does he have a secret second account we don't know about? :cautious:

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. :)
Several days ago I relocated the 2000 to a different and more secure / stable location on the side of my house using four ROHN HD galvanized wall mounts evenly spaced. Using only 23' of a 40' Channel Master telescopic mast, the top of the 2000 is 50' above the ground. Using 50' of USA made RG213 coax, believe it or not, the swr on the, Galaxy DX 2547, 2002 Uniden Grant XL and the Cobra 25WXNWST is between 1.1 to 1.3 on all channels. Can it be???
Being that the peak of the roof is 18' above ground level, using 23' of mast positions the bottom of the 2000 5' above the peak of the roof. Transmitting and receiving local and DX on all three radios is working out great and I ain't fixing nothing! (lol....lol)
