Anybody that owns one of those huge DAKs plus all of that other gear only wants more space for more stuff. Like myself, I need a larger room or house to support that addiction. As for heat, I lived in Florida once. Summer is not fit for man, beast or the cost of flood insurance.

Yes but I will still take the old stuff than computer with an RF deck attached

I like the old stuff but the prices are a bit much IMO. I'm not an old car guy either. I over payed for a Johnson Ranger because of the cool factor but at the end of the day I am performance minded. That ugly little box connected to my PC delivers the goods. It's connected to a windows machine....now you really hate it. :)

I rarely use my Johnson Ranger or BW5100 either. Great radios on cold nights. But all my other radios run circles around them.

You still running the dave transmitter? I really wanted one but didn't know the right people and ended up with the anan 100.

It's really spoiled me. I'd like to upgrade to one of the models with diversity reception....I'd really like the 200 watt model to go with my 3cx3000. It will be a while before it's finished though. It's a stack of parts with no cabinet.

You too hey? I started a 3CX3000A7 project two years ago but only have the 4500 volt soft start power supply and filament supply finished so far. The rest of the design is in my head and the rest of the parts are scattered around my shack........and shop........and basement.

I own (3) of those DAK CB’s,a Browning Golden Eagle MK IVA, TRAM D201A and lots of other Tube CB’s.I own over 150 CB Radios and my Shack is only 12x12 and along with all of those I have a lot of Amateur Radio gear and a very large collection of both hand microphones and (39) Astatic D-104 desk microphones.I have Central Air and a New window AC unit so everything stays nice and Cool in my shack.I keep the AC in my home and shack at 69 degrees because I can.

Yeah. It started when I found a good piece of plate iron for cheap a few months ago. Now I have the tube, filament transformer and vac variables. One piece at a time. 3500vac @ 2.5 amps.

If you're not in Dave's circle the chances of getting one of those is close to ZERO! I always enjoy hearing mustang when conditions are right.
Sounds INCREDIBLE! A pleasure to listen to. 73
