Tx/rx led size?

89F33CF2-66B4-4C66-90CE-818BA5A36899.jpeg 3mm I’m pretty sure, and I thought you threw your 148 gtl in the garbage because the vco wasn’t locking. Pm your address and I will mail you a couple of the tx/rx leds these are red/blue though

There was a time when I didn’t have a common cathode 3 lead LED for one of my Cobra restorations. I simply used a regular red LED from my salvage pile. Point is, unless you want to preserve originality you really don’t need an “ON” indicator. The meter light or channel readout gives you that info. Depending on the particular LED, in most cases I usually add more series current limiting resistance, sometimes as much as 3K. The failure rate of some of these LED’s is caused by them being stressed to their limit. So far I never had one fail after they’re dimmed down.

Im gonna make one of them all blue. The ch. Display, tx/rx led and the meter light. I found a dual color led, red and blue, i just needed to know what size to get.

It's called T-1 which is your 3mm the T 1-3/4 is the 5mm

The smaller LED you have to look for that "offset" to the smaller size. Most LED's are set up to fit a standard size perforated hole in most electronics, so the smaller T1 side uses the spread out leads. The T 1-3/4 does not.

You may not see this properly on most eBay and Amazon sites - let alone Walmart - any online sites, they tend to be ignorant on the proper way to show this let alone tell you...
