Yup - just get the Lincoln II, more power, better radio. Grant wasn't all that impressive.
Yes I had one and I was hoping it was going to be perfect, small size, very stable on SSB, all mode memory scan, and lower power output for several of my amplifiers. The problem for me was the sound of the audio that all my local friends had to listen to. Every time I ran it they complained. It had an odd monotone drone sound to it. This is a review I looked into before I bought mine.

In the end there just was nothing that could be done about the odd audio quality and I was disappointed. I sold it and bought a Magnum one which I love.

Yeah - I found the audio on the Lincoln II far superior to the Grant II. Even though it wasn't in the awful category it just wasn't worth the cost.
