Shops to look for in Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri

I'm an oversize load escort. I'm still in the enjoy traveling stage. I try to find something interesting to do or see where ever I am.

Ive enjoyed being on the road since 1962. Only takes some form of attitude adjustment to get into the landscape. Always new. Daily and weekly.

Next to no one else does so. You can tell their lives have been in front of TV.

Keep a window cracked year-round!

Now ya done it, I'm going to try and stop there now. Got my interest up even more.

Study the website. Every page. Make notes with stock numbers. Tons of small stuff, and it’s easy to overlook while at the store or forget without the list.

As a store + website it might be the best.(selection on-line and in-person).

With everyone there’s those small bits of gear we may never buy. Till it’s in our hands to study. And we planted the seed looking at it in the catalog first, . . . and some of it goes home with us.

I have two (2) DIY dipoles and own three (3) sets of dogbone connectors. Not expensive and one of those might be better than the other two.

This is (now) the closest thing to a hobby for me. Not much to compete with it. So I don’t begrudge the time at the store, or the $ spent. (It all gets used; some is gifted).

OKC used to have a nice HAM RADIO store but the owner passed. HRO in Dallas isn’t a short drive for me — even less for you — and Larry’s CB (nearby) doesn’t carry quite as much as Bobs.

I’ve probably not ever spent less than two hours at any of these stores. Bought little or a lot.

I didn't get to stop at Bob's, had to take a different route home. I found my buddies wallet in the side pocket of my truck door, he's been off work for a few months so I have had it in my truck for a while. He didn't seem to concerned, but I took it to him anyway. I ended up taking 81 South went through Virginia, man Virginia looks like something out of a Norman Rockwell painting, it's just beautiful!! The winters are still to cold for me, but the countryside is just gorgeous!!

Spending at the CB shop with the other guys wallet has a certain appeal.
