I have a Texas Star DX250 that has been sitting in my closet for about 20 years. I thought I would upgrade the power wires and the change the bulbs to led. the problem is I cant figure out how to remove the push button assembly to get to the bulbs. I also heard that common #74 led bulbs would work if anyone can confirm that. Thanks

Best bet is a short length of rubber tubing with the inside diameter just a little smaller than the bulb's diameter.

Reminds me of reaching the spark plugs at the back of the engine. Getting them out is do-able. Starting them and not cross threading them, enter a rubber hose big enough to barely slide over the insulator.

Grab the black housing that the lenses are attached to and just pull straight out. You can take the lenses off and do it that way but it's more difficult and you take a chance of damaging the lenses with a tool.
Just pull straight out.
