Thanks to Radioddity and WWDX for the opportunity to win this HT in the contest. I am posting this review in the GMRS section because that is how I am currently using it as I continue to work on getting my ticket. This HT is a "gate way" radio as it has the features needed as the user grows and expands their capabilities. If you are interested in getting your ticket, but want to try GMRS first, this is the radio to get. I will be adding more to this as time allows.

The radio comes well equipped with the following:
Two antennas, long and short
Two batteries 1800mAh and 2500mAh
Charging base, cord and wall wart (USB)
Belt clip and manual

The radio can be charged without the base by plugging the USB C cord directly into the side, making it easy to charge on the go. This USB port is also how the radio is programmed, and the software is a free download on the Radioddity website.

The radio has a solid feel without being heavy, and the feel of the knobs and buttons lets you know these are quality components. The chassis of the radio is Aluminum and the screen is big, beautiful and well layed out. This, along with all the features make this a Cadillac of a radio for sure.

Does anyone know if you can replace the 2290 in a galaxy dx 93t twin turbine with a 2sc2879 red dot? If so, what would have to be tuned?
  • @ ShadowDelaware:
Hambones the entire amp section would have to be retuned, and the rf transformers re wrapped.
