Eightwood RG400

Yeah I seen a BBI review on RG400. Not sure the brand he was referring to. I was gonna replace all my jumpers in the shack. His YouTube shows the way he installs the pl259 ends as well. Thanks 73’s

I use RG400 for every run. It is slick and weathers very well. I can pull through my conduit with ease 50 feet with three sweeps and 4 runs in 1 inch PVC I'm going to run CCTV Siamese cable along for a security camera on the same mount. That wont pull so easy with the other coax but with enough liquid soap it should pull ok. I hope. The cable is the size of RG59 with power wires molded with Jacket.

I have been using a well known brand of RG400 coax for years.....
I use in in my HF shack for all coax jumpers...
I also use it for my mobile installations.....
But Eightwood, ? , I have not heard of this brand or supplier.....
Knockoff ? ......
Hmmm, I don't know......

I’m 100% sure it’s is a knock off. It has really good reviews. Just looking for someone who has used the specific eightwood brand. I have ordered 40 ft of it to make up some jumpers. Have them made and installed. They seem. To have great shielding. Really good heat resistance as well.

  • @ Hambones amps:
Does anyone know if you can replace the 2290 in a galaxy dx 93t twin turbine with a 2sc2879 red dot? If so, what would have to be tuned?
  • @ ShadowDelaware:
Hambones the entire amp section would have to be retuned, and the rf transformers re wrapped.
