So, this isn't the DX55 radio Big Mike was looking for. Doesn't have a counter display. It's a Superstar 3900 with 1984 date codes on chips inside it. Parts are missing. It has been converted to serve as a VFO for a Browning Mark 3 Sideband transmitter. Probably doesn't have enough drive level to do that job well, but there it is. I don't need it. If someone wants to pay 45 bucks including shipping, it's yours. Can't put these on fleabay. Anything I post there with the "no-no" names like Superstar, Galaxy, RCI or General prompts a gripe from someone. This results in a nastygram from fleabay telling me that a prohibited item has been deleted.
Don't need the grief.
And if there are no nibbles, it will be introduced to my propane torch and contribute two and a half dozen slug-tuned inductors to my inventory.
The price sounds hight, but it will ship in a USPS "Large" Priority Mail flat-rate carton. That way the shipping cost is the same whether it goes to Indiana or San Diego.
PM me if you're interested.
