One channel? Nope. It comes around on 27.395 and .425 quite often now.

3db and under is usual in my area. Mostly it's atmospheric hiss. Some days I can turn on the preamp and ramp up the rf gain, and it's still quiet. Other days no preamp and rf gain turned down because of the static. Sirio GPE 27 5/8 wave on the chimney.

One of these is what we used back in the day. Worked great.

I have my 203p mounted to the top of my quad5n using a magnetic plate from my 3D printer and some double side tape. Nice little unit. Coast to coast on a Sirio 5/8 wave from MI.

Wrinkle paint. I like to heat the metal in an oven at 140° before painting. It helps it to wrinkle. A rough sanding helps it adhere.

I'm quite impressed with the nb on my 5555n. When conditions lose the atmosphere static I can turn my 203p preamp on and listen to many conversations from all over, that are normally too weak to even know people are talking. HIC gets rid of hiss very well.
