Your welcome By the way some menu items require specialized test equipment and procedures to adjust and if the parameters are changed without the proper test setup you can't just put them back. I recommend only adjusting the modulation and power menu items. Great job. 73 Panic Attack Illinois...

    Calibrating a Dosy TR-1000

Ok here's the facts to back my claims straight from the manufacturer, not a stores claims. Frequency range per manufacturer is right at the top.

    That's Walcott not dosy.

    Calibrating a Dosy TR-1000

And what frequency range do they state now? My two meters were bought 20 years ago. The facts are that the ones I have seen with the toroid pickup work fine from 80 meters to 10 meters. I haven't looked at any recent or heck even 10 year old specs from Elkhart enterprises.

    Calibrating a Dosy TR-1000

Oh also just for further clarification on my post about a Dosy being an acceptable meter for multi band HF. I can only speak about the models I have owned and checked out myself. The TC4001 and the TC4002P are good. I have owned my Daiwa for many years along with a few of the Dosy models I have...

    Calibrating a Dosy TR-1000

Old post but I would like to clarify. This is simply not true! A Dosy meter uses a broad band toroid pick up. From 3Mhz to 29Mhz I personally know a Dosy is pretty darn good for what is was designed for! It is very close in reading exactly what my Daiwa CN-620B does on RMS and if I put a carrier...

The Audio muting does suck but contrary to what I thought before I bought the radio I kind of like the clicky clarifier.

    Ranger AR 3500 100w help

Yeah I get out there and slobber in my mic quite a bit lol. You need to holler back. If I hear a 28 I shout it back! I hope everyone gets to hear alot more of me, I'm about to be installing a 16 pill Toshiba box in my mobile. I'm tired of being a duck. 73 Panic Attack

    Ranger AR 3500 100w help

Is there anyone that can post the correct alignment points and correct the D77 error? Yahoo is obviously long gone and I haven't found the info anywhere. Thanks Panic Attack

It's wired 4 pin Galaxy\Cobra. 1-Shield 2-Audio 3-TX Just don't use pin 4. It is for channel changing with the stock mic. As a matter of fact I recommend disconnecting pin 4 inside the radio so standard wired 4 pin mics will work.

The diagram is right for hook up but it is actually the AF Transistor collector not base.

To keep it simple you can just attach the diode and resistor in the radio as pictured or you can add a 1k ohm pot in place of the resistor as BigBadWolf has documented. Nothing is removed in the radio. Look at the pics closely and read the references that BigBadWolf and I made about the hook up...

You've definitely got the right idea on how to fully utilize this mod. I'm glad you explained how to do it. Take Care and have fun!

    Anytone at-5555 PLUS

Yep great deal! I mounted it to the surface mount diode just for a more rigid mounting surface and heck yeah the 1k pot is definitely the way to go for versatility! It's definitely the best way to do it. I'm glad to see someone use this mod to the full extent! Please give some reports on how you...

Just so it's clear, the resistor is connected to the surface mount diode on the board.

The band is worn off this diode but it is oriented banded end down and on the left, also I have settled on a 500 ohm resistor. 73 Panic Attack

    Anytone at-5555n II (version 2)

I haven't looked for a Plus\N since I bought the Plus. I wish they would become available! I really wanted the NR circuit but couldn't find a N2 or Plus\N when I made my purchase. I don't really care for banded radios but man I'm liking the 5555plus and the 60 channel programming helps me get...

    Anytone at-5555n II (version 2)

I think my 6666 has better AM adjacent channel rejection than my 5555plus. But as stated above they are the best rigs out right now. I love the Anytone offerings right now! Buy all three 5555plusN, 6666, and the 5555N2! I'm after a 5555N2 next!

    Anytone at-5555n II (version 2)

Check out the 5555plus thread. I don't know how similar the menus are but the rigs are primarily the same chassis, it might be worth your read over there. It's pretty easy on the 5555plus to open up the SSB band pass filters. Oh by the way the analog filter in this rig is the same one been used...
