Thank you for sharing this mister shadetree some vital information worth keeping for all q6 owners.
If you have anything else you could share on the q6 that hasn't been shared on this thread I would be very grateful to have it all or as much info as I can fi d on the q6 it's my favorite rig
As for MOSFETs that are just switches being used in an rf application is they're a MOSFET type that would be considered an upgrade from the fqp13n10 without losing any watts ?
I have a anytone at-6666 or quad 6 an all out great transceiver as all anytones are I think but the carrier output power with the rf power turned all the way down it's dead key is about 15 watts average.
Can I turn this carrier down by adjusting AM PL on the inside of the radio ? And will the AM...

Kinda makes me sad to because I have ordered a brand new at-6666 but it's not the pro but brand new from Anderson radio supply.
Has anything in the at-6666 changed internally or it's functionality since 2019 ?
And now here in 2024 I would say 80% of all these guys who participated into this subject on the dx forum do t even talk on cb or ham anymore for various reasons and it's about a 50 to 50 chance among the 80% if they still own the same radios or got rid of them
Does the at-6666 have a service menu that's hidden like the at-5555 and other various radios made by the same manufacture has where all those same adjustments can be made ?..
I believe one can adjust the frequency's for each mode in the hidden menu on the at-5555 plus or atleast the one I use to...
I use my Midland 13-893 as a base station and my primary rig that's always powered on and use it everyday and so far it's a great radio I can't say one bad thing about it except for having to do a little crystal mixing so that I could get to channel 38 frequency 27.385 where I talk on LSB and...
In cb tricks there's a power mod where you add a resistor parallel to a existing of the same value will enable this radio to be easily tuned to it's true max output.
My Midland 13-893 will tune as high as 31 watt carrier swing 35 average watts and peaks around 55 watts.
It doesn't seem logical...
I have searched the internet 10 times over and asked every cb,er I know across the globe in search of this little bit of crystal mixing information you have provided and I'm just now finding it because I was searching for a Midland 13-893 until I discovered that it was exactly the same as the...
The JCPenney 981-6235 is a great base station I like everything about it and I have one I'm currently monitoring channel 14 on it and it never gets turned off unless it storms outside.
What is a 22A crystal ?
Here my two cents worth on the subject.
My astatic 878dm works great on all my radios but my remedy for squeelng echo mics after all available adjustments cannot solve the problem I have a long strand of copper electric cord with one end tied into a ground source from a multi plug power strip...
