I've now read about 5 differant forums and everyone has said the same thing that the radio should have had a frequency counter in it like pretty much all radios now have. Pretty dumb radio the way it is no matter the TX or RX.

And not one who the builder claims 1100 CLEAN watts from a 4 pill !

Oh, and you're an authority on 757 amps ? Please tell us more about them and what makes them great. I had one, not much better built or electrically than a Fat Boy. And yes 800 watts from a 4 pill will show LOTS of garbage IF you have and know how to use the right equipment to show it.

Why do people hack up and destroy equipment for NO reason ?

Talked to Guatemala on 27.515 today, 2 different stations nice and loud and clear here.

Hopper built are garbage amps to start with.Maybe broken ground or other from the damage ? Maybe incorrect or poorly designed feedback circuit ? So many things it can be or just maybe a lousy designed/built amp.

Dang ! How many 11111111111 stations are there now ? I know of at least 3 in different states doing it daily and 1 had it locked in on 38lsb almost all day yesterday.
