    Ah the good old days

I had that 3 element beam back in 1977, had JC Penney Pinto SSB 23 channel and a one tube kicker...with a D-104, of course

    11 meter is very quiet?

Was just on LSB38 and it was jumping. Talked to Virginia and Pittsburgh. Things was rather rough there and some idiot called himself gladiator, talking stupid and nasty. He needs a pin in his coax.

The old FCC issued cb call signs

Yea I had a card file box. Come across it back some 17yrs back while doing some cleaning after my mom passed. Didn't think enough of it to keep it. That was from the mid to late 70s. I still remember my dads camper shell had the KCF 9455 on the back glass and a 108" steel whip on the bumper...

Thanks for making me think here. Looks like both 10uf 450v caps are bad. These are 1950 version, so, new ones can be expected to be a little smaller in physical size, correct? I see them on Amazon and are smaller.

This has a 6JU6, which is what the schematic (that I downloaded) shows ot should be. I googled it and it says to be a Beam Power Tube. Sounds good to me. It is definitely antique/vintage and shows about the same wattage as the TX-75 does (on my scrappy meter of course). Seems like I heard one...

Palomar TX-75 Bi Linear Solid State with tuner on back

You are probably correct on the meter. I thought that was too much also. I figured that would get a faster response than just asking about it.LOL. I was thinking that is what the "75" is about. While on the subject, what should a Kris 300, 2 tube put out?
