To be fair, THAT computer visible is my wifes. All my comps are in my office. I share desk space with her for the radios. That monitor thats on is purely stand alone running off the radio. No PC required.

Talked with Florida and Connecticut no problem earlier extended QSO but was cheating with the little hammer and beam. Just swung around and talked to a bunch of CA stations including mobiles but gotta get back to work lol

No. I think you'll be fine with that pairing. I loved that old K40. Great ears and the twist remove was perfect for carwashes and avoiding theft. I seem to remember I lost a little on the ears going to the Wilson.

Talked to 2510 Honolulu Hawaii (my old hometown) right through CA stations clamoring at him all the way from TX. I was working late so missed most the DX but the new 3-500z box was putting in work! This weekend should be fun! Maybe I will finally make it to some of you.
