Thank you Nomad.
This not something I will be dedicating all my time on at "this moment". But I will be doing this on my next Pride DX-300. Like I said, I was given a bunch of parts. I am going to have to go over some of these boards. I have 2 Input/Relay boards that are missing some of the...
I took the Schematic and edited it to a 10 meter mono band.
I have removed the watt meter from the schematic, In hopes that someone would help me add 3 individual meters to monitor,
1) Plate Volts
2) Bias Volts
3) Plate Current (Original owners manual has spec'd out the processes)
I would...
Thank you, NomadRadio and 543 for the quick reply.
543, that was the answer I was looking for, for my second question. I was hoping that someone would have the value of the resistor that would be used to make the proper adjustment to the output take coil, in the output section, located between...
Time to give an old thread some CPR.....
What value of resistor would be used to tune the tank coil for resonance on 11 meters for the pride DX-300?
general question
How do you determine the value of a resistor to tune a tank coil of a tube amp?
In that case, MMM has a DDRR antenna on his mobile (it looked like a military issued suburban or a one that was painted in camo colors). I remember seeing it on youtube. Food for thought. if I find the video I'll post it on this thread in the future.
I've made a Moxon for uhf. the concept is a folded dipole with a folded reflector. Can't think of how you would use that vertically as a mobile antenna. No doubt it was a heck of alot easier to tune then a standard dipole without a balun.
BTW tons of Moxon calculators on the internet.
the guy posting / selling this info on amazon is not the original source for the document. I have acquired it else where 3 years ago. For the sake of the hobby and public knowledge, here's the info. Enjoy and hope to hear you on the air.
Hello everyone. Came across this thread and others about 35 Watts Peak on the 959. I have been looking at CBTricks and comparing the main boards of the 959 and the 98vhp.(which I have) They look very, very similar. I have done the 959 NPC mod to the 98vhp and It looks good on my meter and sounds...
Did this mod on a FredomOne by Ranger twice. First time i did it was with a 1n4007 diode.(only diode type I had.) Didn't work. Audio was distorted. Bought a bunch of diodes from Radio Shack. Put the 1n4001 as specified in this post.
BOY DOES THIS THING MOVE NOW !!!!!!!!!!
Dead Key 1 watt RMS...
