RCI 2970N2 Bias Adjustments
Anyone know what the driver and final bias current specs are supposed to be? Im just starting to learn alignment basics and I am practicing on a DX 959. Can anyone tell me why the service manual for the 959 says 50ma for the driver and 100ma for the final and what the tweekers and hackers gain...- KD8HMO

RCI 2970n2 Heat Shield
Well, I just found out from Ranger that the heat shield from the Galaxy 98VHP is the same exact part number, but may have the Galaxy logo stamped into it. Barkett Electronics stocks these for $7 plus shipping.- KD8HMO

Not sure yet. I will have to check it out on the bench at home. I did find out that the Galaxy 98VHP uses the same shield, except it has GALAXY embossed into it, instead of RANGER. I might have better luck locating one of those though...- KD8HMO
