I sprayed contact cleaner on a dirty mic switch and it made the switch so its dry and does not move freely..and it is not completely disengaging contact......any ideas how to fix this?

Yeh.....my Browning MK III receiver gets below one and above 40 on HF setting.

Try a old tube GCR/general coverage receiver" with a good quality speaker plugged into the extension.....or a am demodulator.....try recording with a digital video camera...they make good video/audio gates. You can tune the receive forward a little and pick up ch 28......but u cannot talk...and...

Is there anyway to put a vfo on these radio? I miss 28.

Yeh...it would have to be some strange conditions for us to talk...I do talk into ohio and indiana from time to time at night. I cannot tell any difference between the Titan and the Titan II.....the audio is very loud on both radios.....one reason is I have a really good non powered d104....it...
