Wow...that brings back memories. That Sabre was the third radio I've owned. I think I was 14 when I bought it brand new. It was way cooler than the Royce it replaced.
I want to replace the LOUD fan in my amp. What would be the best type and size/spec to go with? I'm assuming it's 12volt...correct?

I honestly never knew that anyone made a "legitimate" 10 meter only amp back in the day. I thought all of those amps (like my Thunderbolt 305) were just sidestepping the laws so CBers could buy a cheap amp that required low drive and had a SSB/AM switch.

Cool. I thought I may have wasted my money on something again. I'm putting a new roof on the pad in about a week and decided to scrap the Astroplane clone for one of these.
I just recieved my antenna & the manual shows it to be 19' high. I've read this thread a few times and I have to admit it's way over my head. My question is: Will I be able to dial this thing in on 11 meters? I just run a Tram D201A, so the "broad banded" thing isn't important. I just want low...
Somebody recommended that I use this one and cut down the shaft. I guess that's what I'm going to do. I hope this pot lives longer than the POS that is in this thing.

Thanks...I have that schematic, but am not educated in electronics. The variable power pot doesn't work anymore and I want to replace it with a rotary switch that will accept the stock knob to keep her looking mint. I was looking at this switch, but am not sure if it is suitable for this...
