I love listening to 60 year old men with phone holsters discuss moon bouncing or prostate removal.

I have a direct shot 12 miles to the world famous 435 repeater. I have my ticket. 435 had the largest net in the world called 420 bong hit net. Look it up on nets on the Zed. They are the most sexually perverted meanest repetitive funniest? creative? loser group I have ever heard in my life...

Help me choose an amp builder for 11 meter mobile.

BBI just did a video on a four transistor LDMOS that he made from 4 pallets he bought. It was doing more than 4k watts out. He said it was complicated to build it and combine it. I really think that these may be the way to go, although it cost him like $4k in parts.

    Thoughts on LDMOS amplifiers?

They seem to be giving the most watts per dollar. I would be interested to hear people's experiences.

I think the HGs will be accepted and work well. I don't see the advantage to salvage an old amp for the Toshibas. Old unknown Toshibas are hardly risk free. It's time to move on. I sure wish the LDMOS amps would be accepted by the comp guys.

    11 meter is very quiet?

The FT8 crowd seems to have a good handle on propagation conditions. They are constantly monitoring it.

I hope TS does not wind down the sweet 16. The HG transistors are working for all of the builders now and are cheap and easy to get. It is the most classic all time of CB amps. The name alone is unforgettable Here are some more options...

Yes the facts were confirmed many years ago that class c does not sound as good as ab. But class C guys still insert delays for "$50" extra. Don't the Texas Stars sound pretty good on SSB?

Comp amps work good enough on SSB. Xforce makes a special amp TNT for SSB class AB I think? People say that class C sounds bad on SSB but how bad? I can't understand a quarter of the guys on AM as it is. Hell I can't understand many people when they talk to me face to face.

Most amps will work good enough. Even the old Palomar 250's with 2xSD1446 worked well for the price. The Donkey Stompers seem way overpriced at least for the guy selling them on Ebay. He is selling amps on Ebay i.e. Hopper for more than the manufacturer is selling them for on its own website...

    BBI using eBay LDMOS Boards?

The constant reminders not to overdrive is about effective as telling me to drive my car slow when I was 18. Waste of time.

I doubt it was the FCC although they can be cold blooded pricks. Who cares about channel mods? There are people on this forum who claim to care although I can't imagine they really do. It's too petty and I can think of a lot more ass holes in my life who are more deserving of a dead squirrel.

Many if not most criminal statutes are subject to interpretation. All lawyers take at least one of those classes. Every bar exam has at least one question about a criminal statute where you have to argue two totally different interpretations at the same time. There are volumes of books on how...

The IRS is the only agency that scares the heck out of me. Most any agency will sick the IRS on you. They are to be feared. If the FCC relies on the IRS to do their dirty work than we are all toast. I have been trying for years to make friends with the IRS but we are not getting along.
