That’s what I was wanting to do. I have an old Saturn galaxy that has issues and we’ve never been able to get more than 10 watts out of.
My thought was to put the stinger board inside it with a good cooling solution and maybe some shielding for rf, and put it on a pot to adjust it.
Just...
I did exactly as you said Tallman, no change. But my question is, do I need to have this hooked up to something? Or should I just be getting the line anyway across the screen with the scope just powered on but not hooked to any piece of electronics?
Hi Radio Tech thanks for the reply
I hooked the scope back up and tried what you said.
I made sure the center knob are in their locked position,, by turning it all the way to the right until it clicked, but on the time/division I am unsure of where the locked position might be.
The cursor...
1. Coupling is set to DC, Channel 1 is neither AC or DC it’s on gnd. But I’ve been playing with these and switching them back-and-forth all day and hasn’t made a difference.
2. It did not come with the BNC to PL 259 cable . I had that cable already
I made this Rf sampler about a year ago when I was going to buy a scope but never used it. I think I got the tutorial off of this site. The thing you see on the top I was trying to find a way to lower a 100 kHz tone down to a 1 kHz tone
The model is VC-6020
hey guys, be forewarned this is a real noob question if there ever was one. I picked up this old hitachi scope from some people that don’t know anything about it and obviously neither do I lol.
I only wanted it to monitor my modulation, and to learn on. I have no probes for it. All I have is a...
I just talked with some people far away. About 55 miles north of me. After fine-tuning, they said I sounded nice and loud and clear and was not clipping anymore with my amplifier turned on and my RS power turned all the way down .
My radio dead keys around 4 watts and only swings to about 7...
Hmmmmmm That’s a good point. I know something has to be wrong somewhere because I really think this amp should be putting out a whole bunch more than what it is
There’s no way I can get mine to do 500 watts. I can’t even get 250 on an 18 watt dead key.
I searched for that info last night but couldn’t find it Shadetree. Thanks for digging it up
Hello fellow radio chaps
I have acquired a Texas Star 500 (does NOT have the variable dial on it.) It is old, but clean.
I currently have it hooked to my Galaxy Saturn on a 60 amp power supply.
I do NOT want to burn this thing up. My radio dead keys at 3 watts and swings to 8 watts on rf...
