i know what you're talking about. it's got to be a dirty connection either inside the mic or with the wiring. if it is a model with the base keyer and the sidekeyer, i've had similair problems. the part that keys the mic (to the point of modulation) was a little "dirty" and needed help...

well, being a conservative, i kind of think 8 elements is overkill. it seems to me that it's basically a modified yagi. maybe to make it look more like a "Killer," lol. Lots of elements, a lot of the time I don't think all those elements are worth the trouble, plus they make the price go up...

I just brought back my old D-104 from my tech, and he told me that it was impossible to wire it for a five pin...it is originally a four pin and he said that the base is too old to wire it for a five pin and that the wires couldn't be separated for it to work right. I'm trying to get it wired...
