    That board is identical to the original 5 band silver face I have. The only things I noticed different are the wire connectors on the board. Is this the new one that was just released or an older/different model.

    What I have found is it has the ept360014b board that the galxay 33hp uses among others. But you can't believe everything you read on the net.

    Recapping older radios

    I just fixed a President Jackson by replacing 2 large caps that were leaking and one .22uf in the final circuit. I have another radio with the same issues the jackson had and will check out it's caps at the final.

    what antenna would you use for CB on this car and why?

    I use the ratshack 5.5 on my saturn and it works great. I have run a 102" for a couple weeks and didn't notice much difference. I run barefoot, no power adders.

    Ranger RG99 and President Jackson

    My Jackson had a burnt ant wire and the narrow part of the trace is exposed from getting too hot. Not sure what final it has but it has variable power added.

    President Jackson board to antenna connector wire

    I'm repairing a Jackson that was a throw in when I bought a Cobra 2000. One issue is the wire from the board to antenna is fried and I don't know what wire would be best to use. Thanks Grinder 313

    Uniden Washington and Tug 9

    I just bought a Cobra 2000 with a silver eagle and it has an external wire from the mic base to the jack at the radio. Guy said it had a squeal and that helped. I'm gonna get a 6 wire next time I get to a cb shop.

    142GTL Final

    I just bought a midland 13-895(Cobra 139) and have the same problem. Some modulation but no power. I'm hoping this thread will help me also. I have no bench equipment so I can't help.
