    I've just was reading some info on these "secret" channels. What are they, and why did they get skipped? The artical says that they were pirate channels, and they list 22A and 22B. Basically these are skipped channels (10KHz spacing) but WHY!!

    What is the best "bang for the buck" Base setup?

    Start from scratch this is what I've came up with... 30ft pushup poll Maco V-quad guy wire with clamps 50 ft Radioshack coax and coax standoffs a Galaxy DX2547 peaked. I'm looking at just under $600 dollars to setup a base. Is this about right, opinions on a good reasonable base...

    the Galaxy DX-2547 base is a great looking radio. I would have bought one BUT... 1. not much power output, have to buy a amplifier 2. really overpriced, for 4 watts? If I was to buy one, it would have to be peaked and tuned.

    It's nothing new, sound like some Indian dance music, I'll try to spell out what is sounds like, it goes on for like 6-10 seconds and the tempo increases. (from a high to low pitch)Bahawa, da na da. (now a low to high pitch) Bahawa, da na da it plays this like three or four times each time...

    I like the looks of that Palomar! The first 50 watts are the biggest watts you can buy. Also I noticed nobody mentioned the A-99, it is cheaper than a Imax.
