What do you all recommend amp wise used with a low drive radio ?.. Like to maybe have a small driver amp, 2290's or 2879's, this would be going into a beam ......or would you just go to a tube amp..

I always like channel 28, because thats where all my dx friends hang out at.. And of course my locals likes to try talking local when dx rolls, that was always interesting, because the dx covered the locals up when it rolls out of the west, lol...

Reason I said a TS amp is because awhile back I was looking at buying a new TS amp, that was because all the research I did on there amps shows it been a cleaner amp, saw the 500 and the 1600dx on a scope in a video, and it shows it having a cleaner pattern, guess you call it.... The 1600dx...

If your running it in a mobile I'd say the TS amp....but if your going to run it on a base setup, I'd be looking at a tube amp...

Hey guys, as you all no I bought a new HF radio and have been working some dx on it finally jumped in there and got my feet wet, and been able to work dx with low watts is nice for a change and now I'm hooked on it....I'm sure my neighbors will like this also, lol... So just a little curious...

I don't like where it is so going to move it....ok swr is good on the 10m band where I'm legal to talk.. Looking at moving it about 50ft to get it out in the open some, like to no how many wraps of coax for a choke ? Will be using a 4" form Using RG 213 coax on it now and no choke been used..

I have been using LMR 240 here as jumpers for a year or so, it's ok long as you don't make a sharp turn with it...

I had bought one too new from the first batch of them that came out, and sold it as well.....that S9 was the best radio think I ever owned, in which I had it setup to talk it's best on AM and ran several different amps with it too, did a awsome job...

Which Magnum S9 do you have ?.. The one with the 1969 finals in them are sweet radios when setup right..

Any of you guys ever tried to get one of these beams to work on other bands besides the 10-11 meters, by fooling with the measurements of the elements/boom ?..
