Brand New Cobra 29 LTD Classic No TX or RX

Awesome job done Andy! The wire was tucked down in the slot and I could not get the camera to focus on it so I lifted it up so you could see it. There was a small chunk of plastic that was broke off laying in that grove. It looks like when they put the case on over the coil they chip the...

Brand New Cobra 29 LTD Classic No TX or RX

Had a brand new Cobra 29 Classic that was only two weeks old died. There was no TX or RX not even a nudge on the meter showing any kind of life! Light did change from green to red when keyed. Went through the whole radio tracing down the problem and everything was checking out good up to L22...

    Simple RF LED Pen

Digging through my notes I found another one that I had built. This one can use a 12 volt meter build instead of a LED. Have to use a 9 volt battery on this one. I never put it in a case as the one I posted above works well with out all the extra parts and battery. Hope you enjoy.

    Simple RF LED Pen

I built this thing over a couple years ago. I looked at a lot of other people building all types of RF tracers that had what I called an over kill so I toyed with the idea for a bit and figured out a simple way of making one that was simple by using very little parts and worked out great for me...

    Test equipment question

You have to feed the signal generator into the radio matched to the same channel your using. Plug the meter into the Ext Spk hole then turn the squelch off and turn the volume up on the radio until the needle comes up to say the number 2 or what ever is easy for you to see and lock in on. There...

The loudest AM "CB" chassis ever? EPT3000-10A

Thanks for the offer LC. I am so sorry but I don't remember it right off hand. Ever since my cancer operation and treatments last year has made my memory go very weak. Add me back to that conversation so I can jar my brain here please. Thanks.

The loudest AM "CB" chassis ever? EPT3000-10A

Sorry LC, I don't remember a lot about it other then it was getting hotter the a fire cracker. The radio is factory and there was never no mods or anything done to it. Between you and Andy I have faith that you two will get her back going. I do remember it was one heck of a talking radio! Sad...
