I'm going for my technicians soon and I want to be able to reach/open repeaters. That's why I'd like to put a 1/8" trs input on my radio to use a patch cable from my phone headphone jack to the input so I can send them without adding a board internally. The less soldering the better as I'm not...
If I could install a 1/8" TRS to transmit the audio signal, where would I connect it so it's not affected by any filters? I have a CTCSS app on my phone but have no way to introduce it to the radio other than playing it into the microphone while I talk. I'm told that won't work.
Yes, he does have a nice radio, and my 2510 was sent to Roger so I understand the value there. My reason for wanting one though is simply for the CTCSS tone capability. My 2510 will be plenty of fun for me until I'm ready to play with the repeaters. If I could find out an easy way to add a tone...
How do you add a CTCSS board? I can't afford a working 2600 right now, but I have a 2510 getting Chipswitched at the moment and I'd love to be able to connect to repeaters.
Do you have one that doesn't have a bunch of mods? I'm not looking for anything crazy, or crazy expensive either. I'll take care of the chipswitch and alignment if needed.
I understand this post is a bit old but is there any chance this is still available? I have my 2510 being chipswitched and aligned right now and it'd be good to have a sister to play with.
