    Galaxy N kit

https://cbworldinformer.com/channel-board-for-cobra-146gtl-uniden-pc-122xl It looks like it hijacks the 5.12 MHz (10.240/2) output signal from the PLL Pin 10, runs it through some loopy logic chips, that add either 320kc to the signal. or 640kc to the signal. A 7493 4-bit binary counter and a...

29GTL and 29LTD are different boards, but similar design, same PLL (uPD2816). GTL was the precursor to the LTD's.

I saw that logic chip board info somewhere, I think in Secret CB, I'm looking now.

The "N Kits" I used to see were basically "A Kits" with varactors added to "slide" the crystals.

    Galaxy DX 2547 Channel Kit

https://www.cbtricks.com/radios/galaxy/viagra/index.htm These work great. I bought a few when RF Parts still had them in 2008 or so, I put a Viagra A "Blue Dot" board in my PC-122. Yes, it works there, too. "Blue Dot" has 40 up, 40 down, I have a "Green Dot", and a "Red Dot", one goes up...

Never seen anything like this before.....

    RCI 2970N4 Amp Switch ?

I had a 1st gen 2970 (battery CPU) mid to late 90's, and reused one of the front button logic select lines, like R.Beep or some such, unsoldered the resistor that enables the R.Beep power switching transistor (R189 to Q36), ran a wire to the back where the Brown/Black wire header to the amp is...

Money sent. No rush on receiving it, I just opened the one got through eBay a few weeks ago. I haven't fired it up yet, though.

    radio shack htx10

I have been out of here for the past week preparing for a hurricane (Tampa), and the cleanup afterwards. It was not as bad as it could have been, it turned sooner than expected, but it still left a mess. I got my check Friday, which turned out to also be a bank holiday, so it won't clear until...

    radio shack htx10

Proprietary? Maybe. This is an Alpha version from 2020, I used MEMS Oscillators as the basis, but goofed (inverted) on the enable logic to switch which band to select. My later revs have HC49 (or HC49S short) crystals, easier and faster to source, I have to submit the Gerbers when I am...

    radio shack htx10

That is because I am busy stringing up networking cables and IP cameras in an old building. On my normal day off, as a side job. I will elaborate later, gotta get back up on the ladder. And, I will start another post.

    radio shack htx10

I have an HTX10, and a 1st gen 980SSB. The "board" I was referring to was my double offset board, not the difference between an HTX10 and a 980SSB.

    radio shack htx10

Double Offset Mixers. This fools the PLL to lock somewhere else. Need to break the RF connection from the VCO to the PLL, move the signal up (or down) then move it back, the difference between the first and second mixer is your Offset. For normal operation, both mixers receive the same...

    radio shack htx10

The PLL in these newer radios can "read" the VCO frequency direct. I came up with a way to "trick" the PLL by offsetting it. This would work on newer CB's, like the 980SSB or Madison, and by making a slight change, the HTX10. Same board, different offsets.

    radio shack htx10

I have an unconventional "proof of concept" conversion for one of these, I just bought an HTX10 about a month ago on eBay. This does not involve swapping the CPU out, it involves "tricking" the PLL to offset itself 1 or 2 MHz down from displayed frequency. Display will say 28.000-29.699 but it...

Recaping - Need Cap Lead Spacing

I do the same, but I bend the negative lead, and put the positive lead straight into the hole. Less chance of "shorting out". Unless it were a double sided traces on both sides like a Motorola, or other similar. Then I "sleeve" one of the leads.

Need Help Galaxy DX-2547 Factory MOSFET No RF Out

Vss is Voltage Source, or Ground (Vdd (Pin 5) is Voltage Drain, or +V, because Electrons flow from Source to Drain). Looking at the schematics of both SO42P and RCI-6130, Pins 1, 4, 6, 9 and 14 are all grounded.

There is no "Sams Photofact" on any of the Galaxy radios. The last one was CB293, which was printed in the 80's, decades ago. A Galaxy DX2547 is a 2000's or newer radio. cbtricks.com has these http://www.cbtricks.com/radios/galaxy/dx2547/index.htm EPT069610C main board This is for the Bipolar...
