true its all trial and error if u dont have any kind of counter "radio to test with" i suggest getting 3 friends together and going to work.Took me 45 minutes to dial mine in and im right on the money.Also mine is a at5555

ok So i got my new meter "Micronta" in the mail with new cable compared the pdc2 the micronta and the radio in a open parking lot.I got it set at 1.1 at channel 19 and 1.3 as high as 275550 and 1.3 as low as 268150.... on the micronta the pdc2 is 1.1 on 19 and 1.4 on those other frequencys tha...

anytone my anytone was never peaked etc just tuned by me via the menu never inside the radio.My 2950dx was a shop job peak and tune that shows teh higher swr.I also think higher power output may have a effect.

lets us know if you can do a side by side.Honestly i had a wilson 1000 and my p5000 performs about the same not noticing any huge leaps in performance anything noticable i bet the k40 performs just as well.

Yes like some open spaces give different readings.at a park today i was 1.3 to 1.4 channel 19 a 1.1 but in some places im a 1.0 on 19 1.1 channel 1 and 40.i gotta say i wouldnt want to run a amp with unsteady swr you could be near a pole key it hit a 2.5 and probably do damage.

fluctuations i noticed lite fluctuation on my pdc2 like going from 1.3 to 1.2 while sitting still taking reading no mic modulation it just moved in reference and i was confused by that but wondering if thats normal.Didnt happen all the time tho like maybe once or twice.

true yup yup as long as its working.fm im sure you can leave the mic gain up as it doesnt modulate via voice its a steady carrier.fm in my radio also is max power so its a steady signal but having a 1.0 at 19 is great good match.Altho being in a mobile the 2950dx has its issues i dont get...

fm i test in fm full power whats the point in testing in am when u have to adjust mic gain and also low power your not getting a tru reading.You want the reading to reflect your output to let you know what the reading is under operating conditions.

2950dx The meter in the radio is stupid.i decided to give it another go.pulled into a large parking lot channel 19 1.0 40 1.1 and 1 1.3....so i check the built in light bars to compare to the pdc2 readings and 0 bars all the way.So now i drive out and key as im driving watching the light bars...
