Amp is a Texas Star DX350 factory 3 "pill". I am not sure what is going on with it right now, however it has blown the same electrolytic cap twice within a year. I'm wondering if I need to replace the keying transistor. Pics will be posted soon. I will also include the schematics for reference...
Agreed. However, the match dropped when hooked up to the steel horse trailer last night. I checked it on 38, and it dropped to about what it was on 26.815.
I will say that the jumper is an unknown quality, it might be on its way out.
Last time I was checking my match with the old antenna I...
I do have a radio that goes further than 1-40. I just want to make sure my grounds are good before I start trimming too much. I know I need to work on the ground issue as I hooked up to a steel horse trailer and the match dropped on 40.
Ok, I got the antenna mounted, coax has been run to it, and it looks like I'm going to have to double check my grounds. On 1 my swr is 1:1.2. on 40 it is 1:1.8 it there abouts. It doesn't matter if I raise the antenna, it trim 1/8" off... I was able to make contact with a buddy of mine who lives...

Just a mockup. Wanted to see what the truck will look like with this antenna. Will post another pic showing mockup location. Actual location will be a few inches behind the mockup.
This is what my D-104 looks like now. I wanted the classic D-104 sound in the mobile. The best thing is that I have the amplifier board turned all the way down and I still get fantastic audio reports with the mic gain on the radio turned back to 12 straight up. I have already used all the pins...
Honestly, I have thought about doing that. However, my D-104 has been extensively modified/ rewired and I really don't want to have to rewire it to add power for the condenser mic.
