Well Well Well!!!
I'm glads somebody mentioned this.......that's WHY I showed the losses because lets be honest.....many cynics wants this antenna not to work.....I along with Scott on here spotted a winner prior to anyone even trying the SGM. When are the Big Buck American so called .64...
Come on George every one knows the A99 has 9.9 DBi of gain............like they know Father Christmas DOES come down the chimney and the tooth Fairy calls at night!!:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:. Like you say lots of CB Bulls@it myths for sure!
As stated I don't feel it's anything to do with actual length of the antenna ,it's the centre fed design and how Shockwave explains it that makes this thing work so well.
A99.........Good Old Jazzy
Hello George my friend ,hope your not caught up in this bad weather. Yes Ok it's a monopole and it sounds you rate the A99 as highly as I do!!!. Yes they work and have sold by the bucket load for sure.I am not pulling them down at all. But all the 5/8 antennas that...
Yes it is classed as a 5/8th wave and indeed it is 21 foot long..my mistake. But it has been upgrade with a 8 section radial kit and runs a rock salt earthing system. I had an Imax 2000 on the same pole and since this Shaky was upgraded it works better for me on TX and RX .Not vastly but still...
Bravo Scott
I look forward indeed to your tests Scott. I know for a fact mine's not coming down "Some Time Soon". Good luck Mate.......the more who do tests, the more we will learn.
Well Done Marconi
The only way the truth will be told Marconi is people taking "The Bull By The Horns" and doing what you and I have done. All the talk in the world about antenna design ect ect on Forums proves nothing in the real world that antennas are used in. I find it so easy to dimiss...
Te first Imax 2K test ?
I read your comments with interest. I agree 100% with you comments on the A99 (that's why I never have owned one). Surely an Antron 99 is an end Fed half wave dipole with Unity Gain and only around 18 feet long. As for anyone testing it against a true 5/8th wave. Well...
Nice One !
It's nice to hear of your improvements for sure. I am enjoying taking a back seat so to speak to see how every one else gets on with it. Every one in Europe has seen an improvement who has bought one up to yet. It will be interesting to see how height ect ect changes things. My...
LOL
I wish Scott. Maybe mention what you just said in your E-mail to Sirio ,it is nice to be reconised for my help. I did see they put the videos on their website. I'm sure a second antenna could come in handy....LOL. No honestly I only did the tests to satisfy my own doubts as I am a big...
Carl and Cain are BOTH on the videos. Carl has purchased the GM (the very night we did the original SGN test he was on the phone to his dealer...Sunday @ 8PM!!). Caine helped him install it on his house last Saturday. Both of them run A99s. Caine says he is buying a SGM ASAP too. As he's...
Hello Marconi, I did tests with a £400 MFJ analizer but this is not what I class as Lab gear, just a guide. As I pointed out too. These are just my results in my location by a Dedicated Radio Hobbyist. I am not a profesional and I can only show what I found along with the local guys. This...
A99 VS GM???
It's only what Caine has posted on CT site. I have not spoken to him yet. As my CB shack is in an out building unlike my Ham one and we have 3 foot of snow and at 3PM today it was Minus 10 !!. But I do know a decent improvement over the A99 was noted. Should be realy as a A99 is...
I'm sorry to hear this issue Scott. I know with my dealings with Stefania @ Sirio they won't let you down. I'm pleased now that a few of our American friends are now testing it. I now know another local guy (Carl on the video) who has replaced his Antron 99 with it and seen a big...
Other pssible Ham Bands and Feeder Losses
This is one Robb asked about last week..............73's De Dave M0OGY:)YouTube - Sirio Gain Master Final Review Video.......Bands Covered and Feeder Losses
Part 3 and 4 Gain Master Video
Hello all. I will in the spring do a final video test of the Shaky VS Gainmaster on the same pole and coax on the same day with my three current reference Operators. (Caine,Carl and Ian). But we have heavy snow now in the North of England, so I guess it will be...
Check out Charlie Tango for more details
Yes this is Simons Gainmaster after trying some power. I have done tests now on 10 meters and not run more than 80 Watts. I do have big valve linears that I run on Ham bands , but don't intend to run QRO on my Gain Master. I do honestly think Sirio...
Ham Band tests
Last night I did 10 meter tests and also checked it with the MFJ on the bands you suggested.....this video will be posted within the week Robb.
