What type of expander was in there you removed? Could be some components that were stock were removed in order for the expander to work....which are not there now causing your problem.

Get a GOOD magnetic mount mobile antenna and stick it up there. I did that on top of a mobile home YEARS ago and it was one of the best antenna's I ever had set up.

The band was DEAD today in my location. No skip at all, (unusual as it is usually very active). Guess you'll have to check it out tomorrow.

Complaining to the FCC? Surely I jest ! Oh...and thanks for letting us know that our "Little CB Band" isn't the only one being disturbed. Of course us little people wouldn't know the rest of the spectrum is being disturbed.

So that is almost the most annoying crap on the band. (Notice I say ALMOST as I'd rather listen to that than some of the ops....but I digress) I guess they figure its "OK" disrupt a band that is not officially "occupied" by operators?? I guess our little stations must not interfere with their...

I've used those fence brackets with great results. MUCH stronger and a better grip that cheap chinese u-bolts.
