Today I finally took the Vector 4K out of it's box. Skip is coming. As I assembled it I quickly noticed I was missing something. Somewhere since this thing was made back in the deep past somebody misplaced 3 of the 4 black plastic standoff arms that hold the ring in place. No bueno!
So, anyone...
The number of BO radios in my closet is building up to deadly levels. I'm looking for a good/great tech taking new work. There's nobody local in Los Angeles that I can find.
I have a couple of Channel King boards. One in a 980 and one in my 2000. A few years ago Mark said he planned to do some kind of update to the project. A V3.0 board perhaps? But that was before Mike did whatever it was he did and things went quiet.
Anyone know more? Thanks.
I have a tough time seeing the meter on my base. I have been thinking of painting the pointer some bright fluorescent color. Safety green or orange.
Has anyone else tried this? Did it help??
Thanks all.
The fuse holder is the big black thing to the side
The little black wire does head toward that hole I admit. But it's too short to get there. Besides the mystery wire there are no obvious signs of alterations. Still had the stock wheat light bulbs.
A schematic wont tell me where the little black wire goes if I dont know where it came from. Look at the picture. That's why I asked a 135 XLR owner for help. I'd have to tear half the power supply out to just see in there.
