The radio transmits very well, but I have no receive at all. The meter doesn't even move even keying up another radio in the same room. I checked all the basic things like speaker, mic even change the audio chip still nothing. Can anyone tell me what to check next I'm lost lol. Thank you very much.

Thanks to You both Dmans and nomadradio the Cobra 29 lives again. With the info you all gave me I tracked the problem down. The final was shorted out, I tested as explained and sure enough thats what it was. I installed a new final and she's like new again. Many thanks to you both......

I replaced the one that was clipped and D8 but it still burns it up when power is on

I have a Cobra 29 and when I put power to it, it'll burn up D-8. I've checked a few things around it but I have no idea where to look now. I'd very grateful for any help finding the problem. Thanks Again.
