While I have you on here Captain... what is usually the cause for LED segments not working on the channel display? I have several radios around here with that problem.

Ok, I was checking voltages on IC1... I was getting no voltage on pins 1,4, and 5. I moved the ribbon cable going to the channel switch a bit and suddenly had voltage. I touched up all of the pins on the ribbon cable and now I dialed 27.185 in with no problem!

Just checked them and they are fine Robb.

I just checked another 29 I have sitting around and found where the 3 wires from the DT go. The wires have been removed from this radio.

The Delta Tune is gone. I do see on the schematic that D17, which is part of the Delta Tune circuit, has an 8.2K resistor on the anode side. Not sure what that's about??

I think I finally got this right. I took the sc2999 out and put in a, 1674 or whatever it was supposed to have. I resoldered the amp and now it seems to be working good. I can hear static and a 1uV signal with no problem at all. I can't hear any static when I have no coax hooked up or when I...

OK, I found Q7 was very leaky, I changed it to a 2sc2999 and put in schottky diodes in place of D4, 6, and 7. I tested the caps around the audio chip but they were all good, looks like someone replaced them. When I fired it up I had static with the radio on and the NB off, much louder than...

I jumped pins and 4 at the mic jack and still low volume.

Receive audio is low whether in PA or CB. With the mic keyed it is loud.

I should clarify... when I say it was loud in PA mode, that was with the mike keyed, when mike is not keyed it is low volume.

I did try another mic, no difference.

I am messing around with this radio and I hear nothing if I have my NB in any position but off, with it off I get low voume. I tried it with an external speaker and it is low volume also, unless I have the NB on and then nothing. I tried it on PA and it is LOUD! Any idea where the problem...
