Just ordered me a pair of matched 3 - 500zg machlett tubes from Penta Laboratories in California they had them on sale could not pass up the price. this should give my sb220 more get up and go now...

just ordered the machlett 3 - 500 zg tubes. From Penta Laboratories in California.. my plate amps are very low when key with foot pedal.. .1 amps and modulating power through only swinging up to two-and-a-half to three not pass that at all.. my technician said the tubes are squished or soft...

That BBI amp Builder is getting a lot of Watts out of them stock sb220 .. but he is using 200 plus Watts drive though very interesting huh..

alright give 80 watts a try and see what it will do on output.
