Does changing the value of the internal resistor on the microphone line do anything to the audio? I have read that increasing it to 100 K over the stock 47K has some benefit
I personally think it makes them sound fuzzy around the edges when you do that.
My sonar sounds great with an amplified d104 straight into the radio, it sounds even better with a stock one through a Demco.
( that seems to be the general consensus on how to run a sonar)

Nomad, so I tried a 12at7 in place of the 12au7 in both my mk3 and mk2. The audio got louder. Why? This is contrary to what you said in the above post.
