Putting out 800 with 20 watts of drive, not bad !

Well, Ranch55 stupid me ! I found out what I had wrong I wasn't really thinking and I have seen them this way before and I saw the term "stacked" in the parts list just like they had with the 2 resistors on the output combiner and I had these stacked which doubled the value amp seems all good...

I know the pills are ok because they are all heating so I bet I have somthing in here that isn't supposed to be or what not

Also I may add that all the capacitors I installed I also used the parts list on the tricks site on the parts list

I moved and set the adjustable cap to 130pf and put it down where your 130pf mica is, I may just leave the tuner there for a input tune, I may have to wait till the 2200pf cap comes in as I don't have one on hand, I tried one that was 2725pf but the amp really isn't working properly still, if...

I am just using the tuner to duplicate capacitor because I don't have a very big one of that value but the amplifier is not working

Hey, Ranch 55 do you happen to sell any parts for Texas Stars, I could use a board for another one I have that is a twelve guage as it had #3 board missing when I got it .

It sure did ! Real quickly! I just hope all the other transistors are OK the 10 ohm resistors on all the other transistors are not burnt so I hope they are OK and I learned a cheaper lesson here !

I got off work and was anxious to get home to check this out after reading your link to that thread Cable Guy and sure enough, even though they looked ok the 1.6 ohm bias circuit resistors are definitely bad

Well, I got it finished up last night and put a 2 watt key into it and the amplifier keyed and shut my power supply down in one second time, to my misfortune it blew both transistors on board #4 so now I am not sure about finding the issue but obviously there is a short somewhere while it is...
