Your 949 is a better radio than an old 142, 949's are the same as 959's minus the freq counter. Tons of mods on those radios, xtra channels & etc, twice the power too. Yes it will, ive heard those mics.....pretty good echo, reverb, slap-back. Only neg. is it's a hand mic, lol.

I did a 29 classic in UV purple, never again, not bright enough in the day time. I had to mod the rx/tx to match the purple. Also, you cant buy purple channel/freq displays, gotta mod them as well. Roadstar is a good friend of mine.
