Those upgraded finals of yours are whoopin' some *ss. I was hoping that I would at least get a new radio, but no. Upgraded finals? No. Shafted? Yep. They removed the anti-tamper sticker that my radio shop had put on it. Now that warranty is shot.
I got mine back. Same radio. Tuned differently. All they did was lower the modulation and raise the high and low dead key. Only doing 71W PEP now. No paperwork whatsoever.
Volume malfunctioning, rf receive issues, and a wonky squelch. Mainly software issues, according to Shawn, but unable to be fixed according to repair center.
Been trying to get a hold to Shawn all week. Emails go answered and phone call messages never get returned. They've gone mute.
Now I know what Undertaker felt like.
I'll never understand that. I reckon it's all fine and dandy if you have anything except a V2. They should notify someone and tell them.."Hey, it's a V2." Then they could skip the trip to Florida all together and a get another radio in your hands sooner.
From what I was told from the Stryker repair center in Florida, was that all V2 radios are sent back to Shawn at Stryker in NC for replacement because they have no serviceable internal parts...I guess they do entire boards, though. They didn't say anything about flashing firmware or anything...
Just got a message back from the Stryker repair center in Florida.."This is a V2 radio and has no serviceable parts. We'll be sending it to Shawn for replacement."
Well hell.
Mine has been sitting at the Crawfordville, FL post office since Saturday. Says waiting for customer pickup. They did say that they picked up a bunch today (not good) and that mine may be one of them..... Still says waiting for pickup. Maybe they missed the scan.
That may be the sad truth. Looks like we're in for a wait. They're probably like, problem, new board....problem, new board...etc.
My old Galaxy 73v will be keeping me company while the 955v2 is in the shop.
I wish I would have listened to that little voice telling me "Don't do it....it's new...let them work the bugs out cause there's always bugs."
Weird how the Anytone 5555N II owners don't have as many issues with their radios....at least not the ones that I have seen. They're pretty much the...
Erratic volume control, rf gain, and ASQ. Shawn said that "they were digital and that should be expected."
I told him since they are digital, then they should have a software setting that needs adjusting.
