I have a friend who has a 2970, he tried to wire up another mic and shorted something, now it is stuck in TX, even with mic unplugged,, anyone know if it could be a shorted TX transistor or something in that nature? it is stuck on TX and 26.000 mhz

blown bulbs Hi, thanks for the reply, I checked all 6 bulbs, and only 2 light up// My need is! the size of the bulb? 5mm 10mm and so on I do know they are 12 volts because I get the 12 volts at the wires to each bulb.

I have this Para Dynamics Astatic 600 meter, and the lights don't work. any one have this problem? and anyone know what size those bulbs are? I just may replace all 6? I never got the manual with it since it was used.

what I can see on that transistor is 913AA on top and on the botom same side is IP31A? where is the audio chip? is it IC3? since it is in the section on the modulation of the board?

If the cap your talking about is C179, well that spot is empty??? nothing there? I guess the guy that modded this back in 1977 butchurd it. he is dead now tho. I would love to get it back to stock , but keep the channels and open clarifier? Wish there was a place near by that would do it..

OK.. yes it is the 858, I got it when they first came out... also I cleaned the contacts in the relay gave each one 2 strokes with the match book stryker, it is still fuzzy sounding on first key up? I installed them after it started sounding fuzzy, one is a beep and the other is a 621 pre amp.
