QSO i do hear you out there a lot, you always make the trip... great audio!! i was on my dipole saturday, giving it a try, seems to do ok. i run the imaxx 2000 90% of the time along with my uniden washington, i get good reports so i will go with what works.... 73's

thanks for the info.. now i also have a cobra 142gtl, the am is at 5 watts, i was talking on it the other day and my buddy told me, it sounded like it was over modulating, he said you need to turn down the wattage to run it with the amp, so if i just turn the wattage down to 1 1/2 on the vr-6...

on my radio the am is turned down to 1 1/2 watts, on the side band it's at it's factory watts 12, my ? is does the sideband need to be turned down to run the amp properly,it's a shooting star 225+ thanks.....:lol:

would lack of amps (power supply) be causing me to be breaking up on SSB was told today that i was breaking up while talking skip, they told me to turn down my mic gain, that seemed too help.. i'm running a 12 amp... radio is pushing about 50+ watts....
